She Is Heartless

The man Shen Yan wanted could be a little older and a little less romantic, but he had to be powerful, wealthy, and influential.

She came from a humble background and was determined to rise above the rest, but she didn't have the fate for it.

Shen Yan didn't love He Tongguang. She had always been coldhearted, but He Tongguang could give her everything she wanted.

On a damp, rainy night, he pinned her fiercely against the headboard and asked whether she had a heart at all.

Tears streaming down her face, she lied to him against her heart: "I loved you once."

She had no heart, and she had no love.

But the moment they truly broke up, she suddenly understood love. She just didn't want to be a caged bird anymore.

An older man's love burns hottest in bed, but when it runs deepest, he chooses to let go and grant her freedom.

He said, "She loves me, that's why she lied to me. Why doesn't she lie to someone else?"

In public, he was the lofty, decisive, meticulous Mr. He, praised by everyone.

In private, he spent every night alone, waiting for her to return.

Years later, the little bird he had set free finally returned to his cage of her own accord.

Shen Yan said, "Mr. He, love me well."

Love means letting go and giving someone their freedom. It means lonely nights and fierce possession, and, after all the bitterness, the sweetness of a happy ending.
