Ring Collapse: the Sonic Paradox

Sonic the Hedgehog has beaten many things in his life: time, death, a bald mad scientist, and—most humiliatingly—a hot dog lunch box equipped with an AI chip that learned to laugh at him. But he never thought that one day he would need to beat "existence" itself. Mornings at GreenHillZone should be ordinary: sunshine, waves, and an overturned crab. Until the air in Echo Canyon suddenly cracked, and another "he" - tired, transparent, like a ghost that had been washed too many times - stretched out his hand from the crack, handed over a broken golden ring, and then dissipated like ink dizzy with water. "It's coming. It's harvesting my world. You're next."
