"Crownfall: Athena" content synopsis
Lin Ya, who won the second runner-up of Miss World Macau on the beauty pageant stage, became popular on the Internet with her online name "Athena". She carefully created the character of an Internet celebrity who travels around the world and comes from a wealthy family. She longs to step into a higher circle and live in the pursuit and vanity of fans. Her best friend Chen Xi kept asking her for overseas filming invitations. Lin Ya, who was bent on seeking a career breakthrough, put aside her family's dissuasion and flew to Manila alone, only to step into a carefully arranged kidnapping trap.
After arriving abroad, Lin Ya lost her freedom instantly and fell into the hands of a transnational criminal gang. The gangsters demanded a huge ransom and manipulated her social accounts to create false impressions. The parents of an ordinary working-class family spent all their money to raise funds. However, after the ransom was paid, the gang betrayed their trust and young Lin Ya unfortunately died in a foreign country.
