"The Legend of the Spiritual Stone" is a realistic fairy tale, with Nuwa's stone as the core, unfolding the eternal fate intertwined between the stone gods of heaven and earth, the spirits of the mountains and fields, the craftsmen of the past dynasties, and the inkstone spirits of the study.
Buzhou Mountain collapsed and tore the earth apart, and the turbid air in the earth's veins breeds evil spirits such as mountain monsters, ancient tomb stones, and Gobi stone monsters, which have harassed the people all year round. The spiritual stones in the world have their own aura, support the destiny of mountains and rivers, and also seal three cycles of love and hate that span thousands of years. The ancient Huaishui craftsman Shi Heng and the jade-collecting girl A Liao died in love, and their souls were entrusted to the spirit stone; the inkstone craftsman Chen Qing of the Eastern Han Dynasty and the late He were separated due to corvee work, and Qingshi stayed alone in the deserted garden; the four great craftsmen of the present meet again, and their unfinished mortal relationships for three generations are resolved.
Shi Zheng, who is responsible for the origin of mending the sky, is immune to all evil, and partners with Shi Zhuoyu, who is proficient in the ancient method of stone carving of the Three Saints; Su Yanshan, an inkstone master from the Western Regions, guards the Kunlun area, and Liu Qingyan, the successor of Jiangnan Inkstone, is good at overcoming the obsessions of all living beings. The four people traveled across the land of Kyushu, repairing cracks in the earth's veins, appeasing restless stone spirits, resolving evil spirits and resentments, and regulating local customs.
The layout of the book is grand. Nuwa and Taishan Fujun are in charge of the order of the stone road in the upper part, while Empress Shiji and Sun Wukong are watching at ease. The middle part is divided into two major groups of good and evil stone spirits, and the lower part describes the various behaviors of poor scholars and ordinary villagers. The story does not end with perfect love. In the end, all spirits return to their order, mountains and rivers are forever solidified, and turbidity dissipates.
Even if there are disasters in the world, spiritual stones will always carry goodwill; although there are many regrets in the world, stubborn stones will always carry the warmth of the world.
