Li Feimin, an unmarried woman considered past her prime, has been out of work for twenty months. On the day of the Start of Autumn in August, she has a strange dream: she returns to the Song Dynasty thousands of years ago, transmigrating into Li Min, the legitimate daughter of a moderately well-off family. Li Min's mother was frail and never recovered properly after childbirth. She died of illness less than a year after giving birth to Xiaomin. Less than a year later, her father took a new wife. Once Xiaomin had a stepmother, even her own father became a stepfather. From then on, her life was anything but happy.
