Background of the times
In March of the seventeenth year of Chongzhen (1644), Li Zicheng conquered Beijing, and Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself on Meishan. In May, the Qing army entered the pass. In the Ming Dynasty, the Zhu royal family fled in various directions. Some were captured by Li Zicheng's peasant army and their whereabouts are unknown, and some died or disappeared in the pursuit of the Qing army. During the bloody revolution of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a branch of the royal family changed their surname from "Zhu" to "Xie" in order to avoid being hunted down and disappeared among the people -5.
The story spans from 1644 (the seventeenth year of Chongzhen) to 1662 (the first year of Kangxi), covering the most tragic historical period from the fall of the Ming Dynasty to the murder of Emperor Yongli and Zheng Chenggong's recovery of Taiwan.
Core main line
In the late Ming Dynasty, a branch of the royal family surnamed Zhu (descendants of King Heng) changed their surname to "Xie" and hid among the people when the Qing army went south. However, the secret of the surname change was revealed due to a hunt, which implicated a group of anonymous former Ming clan members, anti-Qing patriots, and reckless people, and became embroiled in a grudge and struggle that spanned nearly twenty years. The story centers on five main characters, three men and two women, telling how they meet, fight, and cherish each other in troubled times based on their respective destinies, and finally go to their respective destinations with the spirit of a reckless knight who "does not seek success, but seeks a clear conscience."
Style positioning
There is no high-level martial arts fantasy, martial arts follows the traditional martial arts categories (internal martial arts, external martial arts, knife skills, sword skills, hidden weapons, etc.)
No personal heroism, group portrait narrative, multiple parallel lines, similar to the multi-protagonist structure of "Dragon Babu"
Multiple clues are advanced simultaneously, with intensive suspense and foreshadowing, similar to the plot layout of "Nirvana in Fire"
The next chapter begins, which should belong to the second volume "Qingzhou Night". I was confused when I uploaded it. Let's take a look.
