Did I Escape?

The school gate is always three steps away After studying in class that night, I walked to the school gate as usual. There was no one in the security room, and the electric door was half open, just enough to pass sideways. But the moment I took out my left foot, my phone suddenly vibrated. The screen showed an incoming call from my mother. After I answered it, my own voice came over there: "Don't go out, it's waiting at the door."
