At the end of the Da Qian Dynasty, the sky cracked and "returned to ruins", bone-corroding black rain poured down, and everything decayed. In the following volumes from Volume 14 to Volume 16, Shen Yan is wandering on the edge of madness, with his body covered in scales and his eyes melting with gold. He is reduced from a guardian to a "living king of hell" that even his comrades are afraid of. Finally, in Volume 17 "End of the Lost Dream", Shen Yan regains his humanity when the world collapses, refusing to become a god and disdain to be purified. He smashed the established rules with a hammer, transformed himself into the Tao, and welded himself into the foundation of this world. This is a cruel epic in which a mortal refuses to be priced by fate and ultimately forges himself into the cornerstone of a new world.
