"Living Coffin"
When the doomsday came, nine people woke up in a closed refuge cabin.
They don't remember who they are, how they got here, or what's going on in the outside world. The lights overhead turned on and off at regular intervals, there was endless darkness beneath the grated floor, and there was a crack in the wall that ran through the entire cabin—like a door, like a sutured wound.
For the first few days, they thought they were lucky survivors.
Then, strange things started happening.
Supplies are being consumed at an unreasonably fast rate. There are neatly cut gaps in everyone's memory. Time warps in their brains. Things were crawling in the darkness, tapping on the floor, speaking with voices of their own. What's even weirder is the refuge cabin itself - it's moving, breathing, and using lights to send out some kind of unreadable signal.
When they finally understood the true meaning of the repeated numbers "six three nine", a horrifying truth surfaced:
This refuge pod is alive. They were not in any building, but inside the body of a giant creature. And each of those identical rooms located on both sides of the corridor had once imprisoned the same people as them.
The walls are engraved with the last words of predecessors. The latest line reads:
"You are not the third batch. The first two batches failed to get out."
And deep underground, the companion who was supposed to be dead long ago was calling their names.
