Drug enforcement officer Lu Chen has spent three years undercover in the Kunsheng drug cartel. Just as he is closing in on its core figure, Zhou Kun, known as Boss Kun, the organization suddenly launches a purge of moles.
After several operations go wrong, Boss Kun grows deeply suspicious and begins investigating everyone, one layer at a time. Lu Chen is on edge at every turn, repeatedly coming close to being exposed. But he gradually realizes that he may not be the only mole in the cartel.
A mysterious figure with the codename Echo has been secretly feeding information to the police. Their rank is far above his, and they may even be close to Boss Kun. More frightening still, Lu Chen's only handler, Captain Zhang, seems to be hiding a secret of his own...
Who is friend, and who is foe? After spending too long in the abyss, Lu Chen is almost starting to forget who he is.
