While others transmigrated to build careers and make a name for themselves, Yang Shu arrived in the Great Qian dynasty only to become a frail scholar who was not long for this world.
The bitter winter brought starvation, freezing, and demonic unrest. Countless refugees perished, the court was rife with corruption, and the people lived in misery.
Fortunately, Yang Shu awakened a Trait Synthesis System. Slay demons and monsters to refresh random traits, then collect multiple traits to synthesize and upgrade them.
When Heaven entrusts a great task to someone, it first grants them the golden trait [Vitality Unending]: as long as you do not die, your wounds will heal.
Then comes the golden trait [Iron Head and Steel Arms]: temporarily immune to physical attacks.
Then the golden trait [Invulnerable to All Arts]: dispel every spell and supernatural ability.
Yang Shu slays lesser monsters to gain a meager amount of vitality, kills greater demons to break through to new realms, and wipes out hordes of fiends to seize the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
From then on, the Demon Suppression Office of Yanzhou in Great Qian had a defiant Captain, while the demons and monsters faced a nightmare of a powerhouse with absurd stats.
Yang Shu is kindhearted. Whether demons beg for mercy or play dead, he makes sure they all set off together. Not one gets away.
Years later, the human world was empty, and the demons were in hell.
When the arrogant gods and Buddhas rebuked him for slaughtering demons, Yang Shu, the underworld’s top authority and history’s most demon-hating Demon-Slaying General, answered righteously:
“If you lot can’t understand Confucian learning, then this scholar knows a thing or two about throwing punches!”
[Smart characters, decisive violence, trait synthesis, slaying demons doesn’t count as killing]
