Three hundred years after spiritual qi revived on Blue Star, spatial rifts appeared with increasing frequency, and fierce beasts from countless races invaded. Humanity built fortified base cities to repel the invaders, and social status came to depend entirely on martial strength. Martial artists could awaken supernatural abilities, ranked from F to Mythic. Those with E-rank abilities usually could only work in logistics or serve as cannon fodder, with little chance of ever breaking through to the second tier.
The protagonist, Lin Chen, is a transmigrator who awakens an ability rated E-rank, “Little Flame,” from the start. He awakens the Deep Crimson Stat-Boosting System, which has two core functions. The first is “Ability Mutation,” which can evolve low-tier abilities to Mythic rank, such as turning an E-rank Little Flame into an S-rank Solar True Flame. The second is “Slaying to Gain Points,” which grants ability points for killing fierce beasts, allowing him to bypass bottlenecks and directly raise his rank and skill proficiency.
