At first, Lin Wei was just a hooligan nobody had any faith in.
He fought, skipped class, hung out at internet cafes, and ran with the wrong crowd. The school security office knew him all too well.
His relatives thought he was a lost cause.
The school recommended expelling him. His parents begged the principal, who reluctantly let him remain enrolled because he was in his final year of high school, though he still had no hope of passing the college entrance exam.
So when he was sent to the army, it was supposed to straighten him out.
But no one could have imagined what happened two years later.
When his parents came to bring Lin Wei home, they were told:
“Go back? No way!”
“Everyone in the army is talented, and they’re so good at saying nice things. I really like it here.”
