A Beautiful Marriage in Brocade

A scheming concubine-born girl vs. a cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside young marquis

Xie Zhaotang, an heir to traditional Chinese medicine, opens her eyes to find herself in the body of a beautiful, fair-skinned young daughter born to a concubine in the Xie family, who was stung to death by bees!

She is a poor girl whose father plans to give her to a fifty-year-old man as a concubine in just three months, when she comes of age!

A concubine is still a mistress, and mistresses can be bought and sold...

Xie Zhaotang trembles all over!

To take control of her own fate, Xie Zhaotang decides that the quickest way is to find herself a good marriage elsewhere!

Which unmarried men in the capital come from families more prestigious than her own?

After much consideration, Xie Zhaotang sets her sights on the young heir of the Marquis of Zhenyuan.

She hears that the heir was injured on the battlefield and can no longer perform as a man.

Perfect. She doesn't ask for love or anything like that!

She hears that the young marquis's family may be powerful, but they're dirt poor!

No problem. She has medical skills and knows how to do business. As long as she can marry into the family as its principal wife,

she's willing to use any means necessary and play along with him...

A chance encounter, catering to his tastes, seduction, playing hard to get... She puts all thirty-six stratagems for winning over a husband into action to escape the tiger's den!

Huo Beiyu: I'll just quietly watch you put on an act!

She can handle the household steward, so why has the husband who supposedly can't perform turned into a clingy puppy?

He's even more skilled at using her thirty-six stratagems than she is... Especially the handsome-man stratagem!

Huo Beiyu starts out disapproving of this scheming young concubine-born girl, but later, despite his protests, his actions show otherwise. As the two test and challenge each other, he gradually falls for her...
