Notes of a Southern-School Tomb Raider

By a stroke of luck, Shen Jiusheng obtained the tomb-raiding manual The Art of Tomb Robbing. To provide for his family, he became a tomb raider. On his very first expedition, he encountered the stunning corpse of a woman that had not decayed in a hundred years. To his surprise, she came back to life, and over time they fell in love and became husband and wife. He thought he had simply brought home an exceptionally beautiful woman from ancient times. Who could have guessed she was the sole heir to a legendary tomb-restoration master who had been missing for a century? From then on, Shen Jiusheng used The Art of Tomb Robbing to read the terrain and locate tombs, taking charge of “the offense.” Su Nianqing knew every mechanism, support structure, and security design in tombs across the land, taking charge of “the defense.” Together, husband and wife made an unbeatable tomb-raiding team and earned a fortune. “My lord, the front entrance of this Ming dynasty commander's tomb has a fake wall and a cave-in. Take the craftsmen's passage three zhang to the north, and you'll get through unharmed.” “My lord, the Dragon-Quelling Tomb in western Hunan uses dragon bones as pillars. Follow the red line I drew to avoid the deadly traps.” With a tomb-raiding heir paired with the forefather of tomb restoration, who could possibly stop us beneath the earth?!
