Divorce Papers in Hand: Mr. Sheng, Keep Your Second Marriage in Check

[Love turns sour + the second male lead takes the lead + failed pursuit of the wife + no forgiveness + angst before sweetness]

Seven years into her marriage, Jiang Rui suddenly discovers that her husband’s tenderness and consideration are all an act. When his first love shows up with her illegitimate child to provoke her, Jiang Rui learns that Zhou Du has had another family all along.

While Jiang Rui blames herself for being unable to give him a child and drinks bitter medicine to prepare her body, he is nestled in another woman’s arms.

He keeps saying he loves her, yet when danger strikes, he holds another woman in his arms.

Her heart dies in an instant. Jiang Rui calmly prepares divorce papers and tricks Zhou Du into signing them, keeping him in the dark.

Zhou Du enjoys the excitement and novelty another woman brings, but he loves Jiang Rui, too.

He only wants to give his wife and himself a complete family. He hasn’t cheated, and when she finds out she can become a mother, she’ll surely be grateful to him.

But just as he convinces himself that Jiang Rui could never leave, the countdown has already begun.

A month later, Jiang Rui leaves without hesitation and disappears.

Zhou Du searches for her like a madman. He can’t believe that Jiang Rui, who loved him so deeply, would really divorce him!

He throws everything he has into the search and finally finds her in a city. In the sunlight, she smiles as she holds a child and embraces the man beside her. At last, the boomerang strikes him in the heart.

Zhou Du begs desperately, “Honey, I only wanted us to have a child. Please come back!”

Jiang Rui looks at him coldly. The man beside her kicks Zhou Du in the chest and looks down at him. “A child? We have two.”
