When Qin Mu wakes up, he discovers that he's become a ne'er-do-well everyone despises. At home, he has a wife who is skin and bones and three daughters crying from hunger.
The original owner gambled and drank too much, stole whatever he could, and lost the family's last half-bag of coarse grain.
His wife is so desperate that she's ready to take their daughters and jump into a well. The villagers point at him and curse him as a man without heirs, saying nobody will even mourn him when he dies.
Qin Mu looks up at the sky and sighs.
How is he supposed to deal with this mess?
Just as the whole family is waiting to die, a streak of golden light shoots into his mind.
“Daily hunting task refreshed: Kill 3 beasts to earn 10 jin of coarse grain!”
