From the Start, I Married a Ghost Bride: I'm Really Just a Corpse Burner

My name is Ouyang Cheng. My grandpa is the famous corpse burner in all the villages for miles around.

He's famous because, unlike a crematorium, my grandpa only burns those who died unjustly.

If people whose deaths are shrouded in mystery are cremated by ordinary means, the baleful energy won't burn away, and their resentful spirits may become vengeful ghosts.

So my grandpa uses secret techniques to dispel the dead person's resentment, then burns the body to help them pass on and be reborn.

My grandpa often says that helping others is helping yourself. This is a craft that builds up hidden virtue.

So he insists on passing his art on to me.
