Three Years Hidden in the Corner of My Eye

"Three Years Hidden in the Peripheral Vision" officially ends here. When writing this story, I always wanted to write about the gentlest and cleanest youth crush. There is no bloodshed, no regrets, just careful heartbeat and the perfection of running in both directions. Thank you for seeing this, and thank you to everyone who is willing to stay for tenderness. May we all wait for that long time to turn you from the corner of our eyes into the person beside us. See you in the next story~

When I wrote the story "Three Years Hidden in the Afterglow", I was standing at the intersection of nineteen years old, looking back at the youth wrapped in tenderness. This is not a novel with ups and downs, but more like a memoir written to oneself, recording the three years when an introverted and timid girl secretly liked someone with her peripheral vision at her most ignorant age. There is no earth-shattering confession, no spectacular ending, only the heartbeat hidden in the heart, the stares that dare not look up, the scratch paper full of names, and the goodbye that cannot be said on the day of graduation. The three years of junior high school were the softest and most unforgettable days in my youth. I am used to looking for a figure in the crowd, used to listening secretly in class, and used to hide all the joy and uneasiness in the peripheral vision that is not noticed by others. At that time, I was sensitive and timid. Even a simple greeting would have to be rehearsed countless times in my mind. Even a chance encounter would be so nervous that I would walk by with my face red and my head down. I thought that this unknown concern would be buried forever after graduation, but I never expected that it would become the gentlest force on my growth path. After entering high school, I entered a new campus, met new friends, and began to learn to reconcile with the past. I am no longer trapped in the heartbeat of my youth, and I am no longer entangled in a secret love that ended in vain. With the company and encouragement of new friends, I slowly opened myself up, dared to communicate proactively, dared to stand on the podium, and dared to face everything I was afraid of. I finally understood that growing up is never about forgetting the past, but about taking the warmth of memories and becoming a braver and more confident version of myself step by step. Now when I look back at that time that was hidden in my peripheral vision, I no longer have any worries or regrets, only full of gratitude. I am grateful to that clean and outstanding young man who once illuminated my youth; I am grateful to myself who was timid but never gave up and kept working hard to move forward; I am grateful to the gentle years for turning all youthfulness and ignorance into gifts of growth. I finally understand that not all secret loves need an ending, and not all encounters can last forever. Some encounters have meaning in themselves. At this point, this story officially comes to an end. From junior high school to high school, from secret love to growth, from caution to calm relief, this long but short time is not only the journey of the protagonist in the story, but also my most real youth. Thank you to everyone who is willing to click on this book and read this story. Thank you for your willingness to listen to my thoughts hidden in the words and your willingness to accompany me through this gentle journey. May everyone who was quietly moved in their youth be able to shake hands and make peace with the past; may every girl who was once timid be able to live her own light; may we take all the tenderness and bravery and run to a farther and brighter place. In the days to come, there is no need to look around in the corner of the eye, because we ourselves are the most dazzling light.
