The little Pixiu Youyou is reborn as a poor farming family's young daughter. Her father keeps failing the imperial exams, her mother is disfigured and frail, and her older brother is lame and insecure.
Youyou doesn't panic. She opens her little mouth and says:
"Daddy, you'll place first in all three imperial examinations and become a chancellor!"
"Mommy, you'll become the richest merchant in the land and serve as the imperial family's merchant!"
"Big Brother, you'll win a hundred battles and become a god of war!"
And so, her poor scholar father places first in all three exams and stuns the court. Her disfigured mother becomes an imperial merchant, wealthier than a kingdom. Her lame older brother makes his name feared across the seas and becomes an undefeated god of war.
The whole capital hears the rumor that Chancellor Lin has a little fairy at home: whoever she touches gets rich, and whoever she kisses gets lucky.
"My lord, the Third Prince wishes to invite the young miss to the palace to seek her help finding a match."
Chancellor Lin gives a cold laugh. "Tell him my daughter is busy choosing a husband for me. She has no time!"
