〖A novel worthy of inclusion in school textbooks〗
〖Recommended reading for middle school and high school students, as well as teachers〗
When the midnight bells rang, the century-old library welcomed its final visitor in the rain.
Not a human, but a book with no words, opening all by itself.
I was the library’s book restorer, mending damaged ancient texts and smoothing the creases left by time.
Until that night, when I touched a book with no words and a silver ring quietly wound itself around my finger.
They said I was the one who would open the “Silent Verses,” that words came alive through me and stories fought for me.
But the world’s writing had long since grown faded and scarred
Forgotten verses wept in the shadows, while erased histories crawled up from the abyss.
The Council of Order wanted to seal everything away. The Penbreakers sought to tear the truth apart. Beyond the realm of words,
something watched us, devouring everything we wrote.
I gripped the ring tightly, and held fast to every story that had been cast aside.
They called me a savior,
but all I wanted was to mend this world
one page, one word, one thought at a time.
Even if the price was becoming the line that got erased.
(A book exists because someone writes it.)
(When the pen touches the page, words come to life.)
Every word, sentence, and symbol has meaning,
whether great or small, light or heavy,
clear or vague, with no precise definition.
Dear readers, thank you for reading to the end of Chapter 3. Seeing Lin Mo's story unfold between the lines, I feel just as full of expectation and anxiety as you.
In this chapter, we witnessed the secret world under the "Paper Realm" bookstore, met the guardian Su Liuyun in Chapter 2, and also got a glimpse of the deeper entanglement behind the "Council of Order" and the old man Mo Shou. The bamboo forest, the ruined temple, and the "eyes" behind the cracks in the sky all indicate that a larger storm is coming.
Regarding this story, I would like to share with you a core idea in creation: words are not just records, they are also life, weapons, bridges, and possibly cages. When Lin Mo put on that silver ring, he stepped into not only a fantasy battlefield, but also an eternal war about "expression" and "control", "memory" and "forgetting".
You may be curious: Who owns the other five chapters of the Silent Poems? What exactly are those "eyes"? What is the "answer" we are waiting for? Don't worry, these mysteries will be gradually revealed as Lin Mo journeys south. The perspective of Xiao Chen, an "ordinary person", will be an important window for us to perceive the changes in the world.
Every time you read, every like, and follow, it is an important force for this story to continue to grow. If you like this world woven by words, if you look forward to seeing how Lin Mo controls the "power of imperfection", if you are curious about what kind of truth those buried words will eventually tell -
Please don't forget to add to your bookshelf, vote, and if you like, share this chapter with friends who also love stories. Every interaction you have is the greatest encouragement for me to code late at night, and it is also the motivation for me to continue telling this story.
In the following chapters, not only linguists await them in the South, but also more unexpected allies and enemies. And Lin Mo will discover that the real enemy is sometimes the persistent desire for "perfect control."
Thank you for your company and see you in the next chapter.
(Warm reminder: This story is original fiction, and any similarities are purely coincidental. Welcome to leave your guesses and thoughts in the comment area. I will carefully read every reader feedback!)
Thousands of rivers and mountains always vote for me... Please
Love is always there, can you vote for me?
Dear readers:
As the creator of this story, my heart is filled with gratitude when I see you accompanying Lin Mo, Su Liuyun, Chen Ying and Xiao Chen all the way here.
Together we witnessed an ordinary librarian stepping into the battlefield between the lines, and also witnessed the glimmer of light emitted by those forgotten words in the darkness. The rain in Qingshi Town, the whispers of the word tomb, the lamentation of the word-eating fog, and the silver ring that is getting hotter and hotter - all these pictures have come to life because of your reading.
Before the story is about to enter the more complex Nanzhou chapter, I would like to share with you some of my original intentions and thoughts in writing this book:
1. Romance and fear about "words"
This story grew out of a simple idea: What if words really were alive?
We use words every day—reading, writing, conveying information. But have you ever thought that every word carries the emotions and memories of countless people over thousands of years?
When the word "love" is written down, does it also record the heartbeat of a certain moment?
When the word "forgetting" is uttered, does it also leave a sigh in the corner?
In "The Savior Between the Lines", it is this "weight" of words that I want to explore. They are not only symbols, but also containers, bridges, weapons, and wounds.
And perhaps our deepest fear is: if words begin to forget us, how will we remember ourselves?
2. Xiao Chen's destiny: the light of mortals
Many readers are concerned about the future of Xiao Chen - this ordinary person who has no special abilities but uses the most simple courage to stand on the edge of myth!
Rest assured, Xiao Chen's story is far from over. He represents each of us readers: When extraordinary power sweeps the world, how should ordinary people deal with it? His choices, his persistence, and the path he will eventually embark on will be one of the most solid cornerstones of this story.
There are times when we get together and disperse, but true companionship is never limited to being inseparable.
3. The upcoming chapter of Nanzhou
South State isn't just a new location. It is the center of the vortex:
Chapter 3: Why did the holder of "Pobi" invite Lin Mo?
Are there already cracks within the Council of Order?
What goals do the holders of other chapters have?
And will the booklet containing Chapter 7 in Lin Mo's arms be the seed of redemption or another abyss?
More importantly, Lin Mo will begin to truly face the core issue:
When you have the power to rewrite reality, what should you rewrite? What should we stick to?
4. What I want to explore through this story
Memory and Price: Does rescuing forgotten texts also mean carrying their trauma?
Order and freedom: Is the Council's control of the power of words protection, or another form of imprisonment?
The Ordinary and the Extraordinary: In a world full of myths, is the ordinary still a power?
Healing and Wholeness: Should things that are broken be repaired or should we embrace the new life within the cracks?
Finally, a sincere invitation
If you are reading:
Have a special resonance with a certain character
Have curiosity or ideas about the setting of text power?
Guessed the direction of some foreshadowing
I even imagined which chapter of wordless poetry I would have
Please feel free to let me know. Every guess and every feeling you have may become a beam of light that illuminates this universe.
The story continues, and you are an integral part of the journey.
Next, let us step into Nanzhou together, a city where words and desires are intertwined, and see what allies are waiting for us behind the door of the used bookstore? Or a more elaborate trap?
I would like to use my original words to pay tribute to all those who are still reading and still believe in the power of stories.
Let's talk about it after Chapter 10…
