The Everlasting Flower Begins to Wither

A legend circulates through this city: the “eternal flowers” sold at the Nanshan Flower Shop can lock away your most precious memories and keep your happiness from ever fading. I bought one so I could forget Shen An. Later, I got my wish and began a new life without him. Until the news report: the renowned botanist Shen An had been murdered in his own greenhouse. There were no signs of a break-in. The only thing there was the eternal flowers he had spent his life studying, found all over the city, all withering silently on the same night. The police came to see me, saying I was the last person he had been in contact with. And my flower was the one that took the longest to wither.
