I Guarded the Yangtze River for Thirty Years, and Even the Dragon King Bows to Me

I have guarded the great river for thirty years. I have seen its waters flow backward and heard an old dragon sigh. I personally subdued the Dragon-Locking Coffin that had lain beneath the river for eight hundred years, and once shattered the lifeline of a powerful man from the provincial capital with a single finger. … But once, I was just a fool who had lost his soul, living by the Yangtze River. Outsiders called me “Water Fool.” Then, when I was twenty, a stunning woman afflicted with pure-yang fire poison drifted down from upstream. That night, yin and yang balanced, and the dragon pearl that had slept in my belly for ten years shattered. That day, the hidden dragon emerged from the water. From then on, I guarded the Yangtze for thirty years. Even the Dragon King bowed his head to me.
