[Feel-good period drama + fake and real young masters + Divine Doctor System + confrontational male lead]
Chen Jiye, a 21st-century young Chinese medicine practitioner, was slacking off at work and watching a brainless short drama when he accidentally transmigrated into it, becoming the fake young master with a tragic fate!
In the drama, after the Chen family's real son, Chen Fudong, returned home and reunited with his family, Chen Jiye was branded a sinner for "stealing fifteen years of Chen Fudong's life."
His adoptive mother's fury and his adoptive father's coldness kept him on edge.
Even after he volunteered to go to the countryside for three years in Chen Fudong's place to make amends, and returned barely alive only to fawn over him, Chen Fudong still used his "fabricated inner monologue" golden finger to crush him. His three older sisters and both parents came to loathe Chen Jiye!
Chen Jiye silently tended to his wounds, studied hard, and took care of everything he could, yet without his knowledge, Chen Fudong intercepted his university admission letter!
Chen Fudong took his name, went to university in his place, and eventually murdered him and dumped his body in the river!
The transmigrated Chen Jiye was standing there with a basin of soup in his hands, attending Chen Fudong's "celebratory banquet for getting into university"!
As he absorbed the original owner's memories and recalled his past and fate, Chen Jiye's heart sank.
His adoptive mother was still there, her face twisted with disgust. "Whenever I think about how he stole more than a decade of Xiaodong's life, I feel sick!"
"I can't even eat with him around!"
"Can't eat?"
Chen Jiye sneered. "Then don't eat!"
He slammed the basin of soup in his hands onto the table!
"I studied Chinese medicine in the 21st century, took on crushing debt, and built up a bellyful of resentment!"
"And now I'm in a short drama, and I'm supposed to let these idiots bully me?"
"Let's go! I'll take them all down!"
