Xia Jingxing, who was bitten to death by zombies in the apocalypse, is reborn in the body of a dissolute young man from a collateral branch of the Xia family in the cultivation world. While others cultivate immortality, he lies flat, spending his days hanging around the marketplace and the Huayue Tower. His parents and clansmen are about ready to give up on him.
Then one day, a family steward out hunting demons accidentally beats him to death, and Xia Jingxing from the apocalypse takes over his body.
He also inherits the supernatural ability he gained in the apocalypse: he can understand what plants are thinking!
And their thoughts are no ordinary thoughts. They're pieces of intelligence, and they often spill secrets to him.
He can even absorb the innate attributes of the spiritual plants he grows!
Whenever he enters the mountains, the spiritual plants nearby are constantly informing on everyone.
“There are bones buried in the southeast corner. They're from the previous caretaker!”
“Every night at the hour of the ox, the Third Elder practices evil arts beneath the spirit fields!”
“Loosen the soil! Three thousand zhang underground, there's a storage bag belonging to a powerful sword cultivator!”
While meditating, he keeps hearing the polygonatum roots complain that the soil is too hard.
When he notices that the blood-coagulating grass he just planted is feeling down, he immediately gives it some counseling.
Years later, he has gained the innate talents of many spiritual plants: “Bloodthirsty Healing,” “Stacking Poison,” “Wooden Defense,” “Night Vision”...
He has long since grown into an Immortal Venerable of great renown!
“Xia Jingxing, the Wang family is attacking!”
“No time! I'm busy farming!”
“Where's Xia Jingxing? Did he go to the Huayue Tower again?”
“He went farming!”
