Tales of the Northeast

His name is Zhang Juliu. He studied under Wu Sangui and is a country Taoist priest.

Chinese Taoist culture has a long and storied history, like a brilliant river of stars. Zhang Juliu is merely a tiny speck hidden among them. Unless you search carefully, you may never catch a glimpse of his brilliance.

But as for Wu Sangui, in all the villages within ten miles, he was a Taoist priest of no great renown!

If you say his divinations were accurate, he was always unreliable...

If you say he was a charlatan, his divinations could commune with spirits...

The strange events began with a drunken prophecy Wu Sangui made twelve years ago...

But when the prophecy came true, Wu Sangui mysteriously vanished the day before...

Some said he had gone mad...

Some said he was possessed...

Some said he had died somewhere no one knew about...

As for Zhang Juliu, his story is even stranger!

It all began with the "golden pill" Wu Sangui gave him...
