The blind young Li Changsheng begs for food with his younger sister. His mother is ill and his uncle is cruel. His sister is sold to a brothel and dies a tragic death. On a rainy night, he drags her corpse around looking for a coffin. He trades a severed finger for half a measure of dignity, only for his uncle to try to kill him.
At death's door, he grips a blood-red ghost blade and slays his enemy. Amid blood and thunder, a mysterious Taoist takes him as a disciple. “I will teach you to kill every injustice.”
From then on, he uses his blade as his eyes, slaying the madam of the Drunken Flower House and butchering powerful men who prey on the weak. Wherever his blade flashes, demons and monsters scatter. With his blind eyes, he carves out a clear sky: This world owes me, and it will pay with your heads!
