Synopsis:
Pei Yan was born face-blind, seeing everyone as indistinct as flowers through a mist. So he took on the life of a carefree playboy and let people laugh at him or curse him as they pleased. Until the day a woman in red knocked him off his horse in the middle of the street. She called him a “blind fool,” but amid the clouds of dust, he remembered the cinnabar mole at the corner of her eye.
Song Zhao, the orphaned daughter of a military family, was rebellious to the core and made a habit of putting cads in their place. She couldn’t stand frivolous aristocrats like Pei Yan, yet the man kept coming back for a beating, asking with complete sincerity, “Miss Song, do we have a grudge?” Of course we do! I was the one who kicked you into the river last time!
【He couldn’t make out her face, but remembered the warmth of her bloodstained sleeve.】
【She couldn’t stand his name, but her eyes reddened when he knelt in the snow to beg for medicine for her.】
