After Lu's Canary Left, He Lost Control

To pay for her ex-boyfriend's mother's treatment and let him study abroad without worry, Shen Nian signs the contract Lu Chenzhou places before her. By day, she is his secretary; by night, his lover. It is only four years later, when her ex-boyfriend Cheng Yu'an returns home and Lu Chenzhou gets engaged, that her life finally returns to normal. But after she leaves, Lu Chenzhou is consumed by longing and becomes obsessed.

Cheng Yu'an has always known that Shen Nian had someone else in her life, but he never dared ask. He was afraid of hurting her, and even more afraid he couldn't bear the answer. But the more he pretends not to care, the more it eats away at him, until he can no longer hold back.

"Let's get a divorce," she says.

Lu Chenzhou: "Since you're divorced now, let's start over."
