God said, “Power is a sin.”
He said, “Then let me be beyond redemption.”
God said, “Everyone must die. To die beneath divine grace is a kind of bliss.”
He said, “You aren't human, so you've never known that simply staying alive is hard enough.”
God said, “There are no protagonists in this world, so don't think too highly of yourself.”
He said, “It's not that I want to be the protagonist. I am the protagonist.”
God said, “There are thousands of roads in this world. Why don't you walk one of them?”
He said, “Those are other people's roads. My road exists only in my eyes, beneath my feet, and at the tip of my blade. If there is no road in this world for me, I'll carve one out with my sword.”
