[The Himalaya audio drama is now available] The Huo Gang's brooding, scheming young master [expression] his ferocious, cross-dressing bodyguard.
Huo Qiannian had a disability in both legs. He was cold and moody, impossible to read, and had three thousand guards at his side. No one dared get close to him.
Except for that "young man" of a bodyguard, who was passionate and rebellious, and spent every day leaping right into his danger zone:
"Young Master, are your legs really broken? All of them?"
"..."
"Young Master, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything? Have you always been this lewd? Ah, I mean, this quiet..."
Swallowing the blood in his throat, Huo Qiannian ground out through clenched teeth, "Very good, Yun Chen. You've successfully aroused this young master's... murderous intent."
Who could have guessed that after spending day and night together for a while, the "murderous intent" would disappear and "love" would grow like wild grass?
Every day, Huo Qiannian swung between being bent and not being bent: Oh heavens! I really love her! No! I can't let it show... Wait! Is Yun Chen a woman??
Yun Chen, meanwhile, thought: The young master is so hot and cold, he's impossible to deal with. Damn it, I quit!
Just as Yun Chen packed her things to run away, Huo Qiannian's leg condition suddenly healed! He stood up!
He held a long sword to her neck and blocked her way like a god of death, threatening her with a half-smile: "Be my personal bodyguard."
Yun Chen clutched her chest and backed away in alarm. "P-personal? How personal?"
No rebirth, no transmigration. From the martial world to the struggle for power and the world, the male and female leads bring sweet romance + bittersweet love + passion + intense romantic push and pull + a powerful partnership.
(PS: This isn't a wish-fulfillment novel. I just want to tell a moving, nuanced story of joys and sorrows.)
I originally only felt worthless for Xiaoliu's tragic death, but now I feel worthless for Brother Gou too! ! ... Isn't this very easy to incite rebellion! What's going on? You Huo Bang guards OTL?
Let me give you a warning, someone's leg is about to heal~
The young eunuch Wu Huaian is a good man.
Although his status is humble, his heart is not humble.
The most ordinary and ordinary character can also shine with greatness.
Giving without asking for anything in return, and fearing that speaking out will burden the other person.
This kind of pure dedication is admirable.
About Ni Kun.
From the beginning of Lishan Road to the death of Ni Kun, a great drama finally came to an end.
When I write these chapters, I always worry that I will bring tears to my eyes, but in fact, everyone will find them boring.
I don't know if you like this part?
I like reading history very much. I wonder if you have heard the story behind Yan Zhenqing's "Manuscript of Memorials to My Nephew".
If you are interested, you can check out the history of the Tang Dynasty and the part about the Anshi Rebellion, and see the tragic story of the Yan family, where all loyal and loyal people sacrificed their lives for the country, and even their 10-year-old son was beheaded by the army...
Shang Yang, Chao Cuo, Yue Fei...
Throughout history, from the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, there has never been a shortage of loyal ministers in this land.
But unfortunately, loyal ministers do not mean perfect people, they also have shortcomings.
Not all loyal ministers can meet a monarch who regards them as a jewel.
In high positions of confusion, monarchs always find it difficult to distinguish the important difference between "loyalty to the monarch alone" and "loyalty to the country."
In this long history, there are too many "Ni Kuns".
At this moment, I would like to use my mortal body and my small thoughts to express my respect to all the loyal ministers and martyrs in the history of the Chinese nation.
To borrow a sentence that was popular on TikTok:
The common people of the Chinese nation are always protected by the bravest among them.
Express your personal emotions, friends, eat selectively~
These two chapters were the turning point where I hesitated the most besides whether the ending was HE or BE.
Huo Gannian's thoughts, Rong Yi, Yan Jiu, and everyone's attitude towards Nan Lijun are all clear.
Including Buyan because of love, Xiaoze because of loyalty to the late emperor's promise.
What about Yunchen?
Loyal or not, rebel or not?
This is the fork in the road where I have been most hesitant since writing this book.
To be honest, I created so many paper characters, but later on, they all had their own personalities, and gradually they were no longer completely dependent on my will. It really feels like this.
I have been thinking for the past two days, if I were in the book and I knew Yunchen, would she rebel?
Aiming the butcher's knife at the imperial army and the Beijing army guarding the imperial city? Go to war with your compatriots? Let the people of Kyoto fall into the flames of war?
Impossible.
Just for her own personal emotions and interests, would she push the country she desperately protected into a land without a king?
Not possible either.
Maybe it would be fun if I wrote that she rebelled in anger.
But I feel that one is inconsistent with the character's background, and the other is illogical. Yunchen is not a scheming person. How can he win by hastily raising troops? A bit ridiculous.
Third, whether it is Huo Gannian or Yan Jiu, everyone has their own reasons to rebel.
But Yun Chen won't.
She can rebel for the people, just like she did against the Black Scale Cavalry, but she will never rebel for her own lust for power.
So, let everyone have their own eyes. There are already too many people in this world who are good at strategizing and want to rebel.
I hope that Yunchen will be pure to the end, loyal to the end, and clean to the end.
A friend asked if Yunchen was the Queen's child. Maybe I didn't express this part well, so I'll explain it here.
Yunchen and the Queen have no blood relationship. The only thing is that they both like to dress up as men, have the same feminine temperament, and have slightly similar looks.
Therefore, the Queen's old friends will be deeply impressed by Yunchen, and they can see through Yunchen's disguise as a man at a glance.
Yun Chen looked a bit like the Queen, and it would look even more like him if he wore the white dress that the Queen loved most during her lifetime.
This is the reason why the emperor wanted to see Yunchen wearing white clothes before he died, so that he could see his lover again in a trance.
I agreed to try my best to give each main character in the book a postscript.
Yu Yangji is dead, all I can say is:
A good death, a wonderful death, a death that claps and croaks!
Huo Qian wanted to be kind and give him some dignity. If it were me, I would crush this bad guy's bones and raise ashes and feed him to the dogs~
To put it simply, in vernacular terms——
She has a split personality.
This foreshadowing has been buried for a long time, and I have read a lot of historical materials. Schizophrenia is a modern term, but this disease is not unique to modern times. It has been around since ancient times, so it is not surprising.
Not many people can truly bear everything she went through, alas...
Friends, I have something to ask you seriously.
Being able to read and keep up to this point is like a real brother or sister that I have never met. I value your opinions very much.
It's like this. When I signed the contract to publish this novel, it was stuck for a long time because of the title.
I'm not very good at writing about the current wireless style, such as "After the Mad Criticizing Emperor was Reborn, She Was Robbed", "After Being a Slave for Three Years, the Entire House Begged Me for Forgiveness" and "Stealing My Marriage?" I am envious of "Marrying a Tyrant and Seizing the Queen's Throne" and "Second Lady", but racking my brains I can't write them.
In the end, I reluctantly used the name "Jun's Grace is Like a Dream". I planned to publish it first and change it later when I thought of something suitable.
So far, several friends have left messages saying that they almost missed the book because of its title, and at first glance, they thought it was Gong Douwen.
In addition, the recent data has become too bleak to look at, so I decided to change the title of the book.
I racked my brains and thought of a few more. Please help me take a look at them. Is there any one that I think is good or more attractive at first glance?
The one with the most messages or comments, I will really use, thank you all! !
The following are the book titles that come to mind right now:
The first type, which continues the literary and artistic style, includes "It just happened to provoke Jinghong", "Qingqing is like a dream", "But it was the cloud that came, he was confused" and "The cloud returned to the ashes".
Similar to the current popular styles are "After Yun Guo fell off his horse, the young master came back overnight" and "Young master, don't bend first!" Yun Guobei is a woman! "The young master's mentality collapsed when he discovered that his personal guard was a woman."
Please help me find out which one is better. If it's not good, it's okay. Leave a message and give me your opinion. Thank you everyone~~
"For readers"
I've been thinking about a question:
If I could time travel into this book, who would I want to be?
After thinking about it for a long time, I couldn't choose anyone. I didn't dare to experience anyone else's experience.
At that moment I felt that I had succeeded in writing, but at the same time I felt quite uncomfortable.
This book took a whole year to write. Because I had to work during the day, the writing time was all fragmented, resulting in a long time span.
All the characters in the book reappeared and supplemented in my mind over and over again, gradually becoming more three-dimensional and fuller... And they stayed with me for a long, long time.
I don't know how to describe that feeling.
By the time I wrote the second half of the book, they were no longer paper people to me.
I will truly believe that this world is composed of countless parallel universes created by novelists.
They live in a space that is out of my reach but really exists.
They have flesh and blood, emotions and righteousness.
When each character suffered and when they left, I cried alone while typing.
When my sweet pet is happy, I will be as happy as a fool while writing.
In life, I am a very lonely person with few friends and like to be alone, but in this book, I actually feel like I have a large group of friends.
Of course, if Yun Chen and Huo Gannian really stood in front of me, my first reaction would be to turn around and run away. I was afraid that they would beat me, hahahaha——
In short, this book has invested a lot of my emotions, and each character is so vivid that I feel that it really exists.
When it finished yesterday, I felt relieved but also a little lonely.
I don't know if you feel the same way.
Old readers know that the ending of this book has been changed.
According to my original outline plan, starting from the middle chapter of more than 300 chapters, it will continue to go downhill, and the protagonist group will continue to lose people.
Rong Jiang will not be resurrected, Rong Yi will die, Shan Ji will die, Huo Luyu will die, Duan Jie, Fulin, Yan Lang, Run He, Lu Liang... All the characters named in the book will die in various ways.
The last one is Yunchen.
He also wanted her to be filled with regret and pain before she died, and Huo Gannian could not even see her for the last time.
Then, Huo Qiannian became the emperor and Zhuang Ji became the queen, and the two lived their lives resentful and cold.
Zhuang Ji could not get any love, so she died on hunger strike full of hatred.
Huo Gannian lived alone on the throne for a hundred years.
This original ending is quite exciting just thinking about it.
But as I signed the contract and put it on the shelves, the novel was displayed. To my surprise, readers began to read it, and there were more and more people.
A reader sent me a long comment to express her feelings, and I could really see between the lines that she was very sad.
Some readers sent messages saying HE over and over again. They really cried and laughed while watching it.
Some readers got so angry that they scolded me haha...
Some readers are very powerful, and their logical analysis is very meticulous; some readers are super able to get my details and obscure expressions.
Some friends often use wise words, which are so funny and cute~
As I said, I am a novice writer. Besides my words and books, what I cherish most is my readers.
I will read basically every comment posted by everyone, except for those swallowed up by the system or missed.
I respect and care about everyone's ideas very much, so after seeing that almost everyone was asking for HE, I finally calmed down and went over the outline in detail.
After thinking about it for half a month, I finally decided to change the ending and move towards HE.
So after more than 300 chapters, the sacrifices and partings became less and less, and only Yunchen was left to survive the disaster alone.
The happy ending at the end will give people the feeling of being lifted high and put down gently, which is quite unfinished.
Having said so much, I actually don't know what I want to express.
I just feel like it's over and I need to explain something to everyone.
To me, the desire to express and share is the highest expression of love.
I really love you, my readers, so at the end of this book, I want to reveal this messy but true feeling to you.
Thank you all for your continued encouragement and support. Friends who have commented and spoken, thank you for your golden words. It really gave me the motivation to continue writing when I was at my lowest point.
Thank you to the big guys who gave rewards and gold coins. My parents, who provide food and clothing, give you one~
For those who haven't commented, hehe, although you don't speak, I can see from the background data that I know you are always there.
I am also super grateful to you. Your silent company is also quite cool.
So, my readers and friends, without you, this book would not be what it is today.
No matter whether the book becomes popular in the future or to what extent it becomes popular, it will have a profound part in you.
Because the title of the book was voted for by you, and the ending was strongly promoted by everyone.
Haha, the soul of this book belongs to me, to you, to all of us.
I love you forever~
Okay~ The book about the Thorny Tyrannosaurus Rex is finished~
Finished~Sprinkle flowers~~
