After decades of ups and downs in business, Li Zhuang is reborn in 1978, on the day he would regret for the rest of his life.
In a cave dwelling, he sees his blind wife and their three-year-old daughter, and is overwhelmed with joy.
In his previous life, his foolish devotion to his parents had gotten them both killed.
In this life, he lives only for his wife and daughter.
A famine? No food?
Li Zhuang takes his hunting rifle and scours the mountains.
Black bears, wild boars, roe deer, all kinds of mountain produce and game: he clears them all out!
"Zhuang, I'll trade you my daughter for a haunch of wild boar. Deal?"
"Li Zhuang, I don't think I'm fit to be the production team leader. You should take the position instead. Then you can lead everyone to a better life."
Li Zhuang smiles faintly.
"Sorry, I only have eyes for my wife and daughter!"
