The Naihe Funeral Home specializes in receiving the bodies of those who died under unusual circumstances, as well as the souls who have yet to pass on.
Li Wan can see both the living and the dead, trace past events, and observe cause and effect. She also knows the art of guiding souls through blood coffins. As the head of the Naihe Funeral Home, she deals with strange corpses, uncovers the truth behind karmic ties, and helps tormented spirits pass on.
For a hundred years, she has neither aged nor died, fallen ill nor vanished. She has witnessed all the cause and effect in the world, yet has never been able to see her own past.
That is, until the celestial immortal Yan Ci was sent down from the Upper Realm to investigate a missing-person case under her supervision. At last, fragments of her past began returning to her mind…
Yan Ci: You can't leave me behind again.
Xiaoman: He's committed so many sins! Why did you choose him? Why won't you even look at me? If he weren't here, would you be able to see me?
