A sequel and side stories to Sword of Coming.
The ending of Sword of Coming came so abruptly that I never saw it coming. As a reader, I was left with regret and disappointment, not exhilaration or satisfaction. In the midst of those fleeting, complicated feelings, one thought led to another, and I decided to write this story to fill in the gaps in the Sword of Coming I imagine and bring some closure to the world I hold in my heart.
The main characters from the original will remain unchanged, though some new faces will join them. The story takes place fourteen years after the link between heaven and earth was restored. By then, the lingering influence of the divine has faded. In the Wilderness, there are Zheng Juzhong, Xiao Xun, and Bai Ze; in Qingming, there are Yu Dou and the enemy within the boat. Is Chang Bo still the senior brother? What became of Qi Jingchun, the junior brother? When will A Liang and Zuo return? These questions will all be answered in an ending that may or may not satisfy everyone, but is, at last, the ending I want in my heart.
My writing is unpolished and my knowledge limited. I hope readers who love Sword of Coming as much as I do will bear with me and offer corrections.
I hope fellow Taoist monks are tired and have a rest, and are safe and sound.
