A doting husband, a heroine skilled in metaphysics, feng shui, and fortune-telling, a real and fake heiress, a beloved darling who takes down scoundrels.
In her previous life, Ning Qian was the greatest feng shui prodigy of the mystic sect. After dying while undergoing a tribulation, she became the Ghost King of the Underworld. When she unexpectedly returns to life in another body, she discovers that she's become a sacrificial offering in Hongxi Village!
With a quick pinch of her fingers, she realizes that this body belongs to the real heiress, whose destiny was secretly switched. The fake heiress is now living it up in the capital, while Ning Qian faces the double peril of an ill-fated destiny and being offered up as a sacrifice!
Luckily, she meets a man bearing the purple aura of the Emperor Star. Her star brings misfortune, his is the Emperor Star: they're a perfect match, born for each other!
Furious, Ning Qian kicks open her coffin and heads straight to the capital for revenge. With a wave of her command flag, a hundred ghosts answer her call. Feng shui sweeps through the capital, and the mystic sect, fallen for a thousand years, begins to rise again!
At a banquet, the fake heiress says, “Sister, I know it's all my fault. I shouldn't have taken your place for all these years...”
Ning Qian replies, “Don't your shoulders feel awfully sore lately? You're so used to stealing things that you even dared to take grave goods?”
Pei Ji says, “Qianqian, don't look. It's bad for your eyes.”
Bystanders: “So much for that cold and aloof heir!”
Later, when Ning Qian tires of it all and wants to return to the Underworld, Pei Ji grabs her by the waist, his eyes red with tears, and begs her, “Last time, you left, and I waited a thousand years. This time, how long will you make me wait?”
