At the annual Best Game Company Awards, the host turned to Gong Rui.
"Mr. Gong, your game company went from an obscure little startup to an internationally renowned company in no time. Who would you most like to thank?"
"If I have to thank someone, it would definitely be Le Wan Network and their planning director, Yang Hui."
The host thought for a long time before finally remembering the name. "Wasn't that the rival you had when your company was first founded?"
Gong Rui smiled faintly and shook his head. "Actually, they weren't just our rivals when we first started. They were also my former employer. More importantly, they taught me one thing: how can you make good games when you're surrounded by a bunch of vermin?"
After transmigrating and being reborn, his former employer used underhanded tactics to ruin his reputation in the industry.
With nowhere left to turn, Gong Rui decided to strike out on his own, only to stumble into a legendary career as a game producer.
