The Nation's Strategist

Xu Liang, a retired soldier determined to start his own family line, transmigrates into the grandson of the Duke Who Guards the Nation in Great Qian.

He thinks he's at the peak from the start, only to nearly bring ruin upon his entire clan!

Fortunately, in his previous life he studied history to sharpen his wits and recited poetry for pleasure. His broad learning has now become his ladder to the heavens and his golden ticket to avoid execution!

He devises plans to save the nation, writes works that astound the world, invents things that win the emperor's favor, and dares to ask who can rival him!

A palace lady serving the Empress grabs Xu Liang by the collar. "You faithless rogue, why haven't you come to marry me yet?"

The daughter of a renowned literary master invites him beneath the flowers: "Young Master, your talent is like that of an immortal descended to earth. I would love to spend the moonlit nights beneath the flowers with you, by your side from dawn till dusk!"

The celebrated beauty of the Red Sleeve House greets him with a smile: "I used to perform for a living but never sell myself. Now, I'd gladly admire The Plum in the Golden Vase with you beneath the moon!"

The Empress smiles radiantly. "Would you be willing to remain by my side, beloved subject Xu, and help me rule the realm?"

Xu Liang leans against the wall, waving his hands again and again. "Let me rest! You can't work me like a mule!"
