A case occurred in City A where a father was killed and his mother was killed because of a "high-priced gift". The prosecution and defense started fighting over the case. Before the trial, Deng Jiahui, the only witness as the defendant's fiancée, suddenly changed her testimony and changed her confession, from testifying that her fiancé Cai Wenxing accidentally killed her parents to accusing Cai Wenxing of intentional homicide. Prosecutor Li Xingyan accused Cai Wenxing of intentional homicide based on existing evidence in court. As a result, during the trial, the testimony of witness Deng Jiahui was overturned. The defense lawyer applied to the court for another autopsy on the grounds that the pesticide paraquat was suspected to be present in the autopsy report of the deceased. The defendant made false statements, the key witness with unknown motives, the defense lawyer who used "rogue methods" to help the defendant escape guilt, and the emergence of new witnesses one after another made the case increasingly complicated.
Salute to Lee Sung Yeon-style prosecutor! This is a good book that upholds the dignity of the law, is full of positive energy, and is worth reading.
