[Modern world meets apocalypse + stockpiling supplies + getting rich] (A fictional setting, entirely made up)

After graduating from college, Xia Qing hits rock bottom and returns to her hometown in a sorry state. To her surprise, the useless pocket space she awakened years ago suddenly binds itself to a strange man.

He has no food on his side, while Xia Qing needs money on hers. They hit it off and agree to work together.

“Gold and diamonds fall on the ground over here, and nobody even bothers to pick them up.”

Xia Qing’s eyes light up as she listens. It turns out the apocalypse has come to the man’s world: plants and animals have mutated, the soil can no longer be farmed, the water is polluted, and zombies threaten humanity.

Su Yu has struggled to survive in the apocalypse for a year. His ammunition and food are gone, and he’s badly wounded, yet he still sticks to his principles and refuses to abandon his teammates.

“Roast chicken, roast duck, steamed buns, dumplings, clean water: whatever supplies you want, I’ll get them for you!”

Xia Qing is no longer in a sorry state. The energy in the crystal beads makes her fairer and improves her health. She can take off her glasses, and she has more gold and antiques than she can collect.

The books, lyrics, and comics Su Yu brings back from the apocalypse turn Xia Qing into a master of literature and the arts overnight.

Her grandmother, who favors boys over girls, and her hypocritical, greedy relatives beg her to forgive them.

Years later, a reporter asks Xia Qing what she wishes for.

“I hope for world peace.”

Some think she’s exaggerating. Only later do they learn that she ended the wars, developed Lanzhou’s economy, invented medicines with her team, and saved people when the virus broke out.

In the apocalypse, she led the last of humanity to defeat the zombies and survive the final calamity of the red moon.

Her wish came true.
