Er Tong, a young man from a small town, has spent years trying to make it in the big city. He has done construction work and factory shifts, worked in sales and nightlife venues, and failed at starting his own business. Now he decides to renovate the old house his grandfather left him and open a retirement home for young people, giving himself and other young people who are burned out by the rat race and unable to settle for doing nothing a place for their souls to rest. A cheerful young princess, a woman fleeing an arranged marriage, a new mother on the verge of a breakdown, and a mysterious male artist arrive one after another. For a while, they forget their troubles and live in seclusion at the home. But the brief peace is soon shattered. As copycats flood in, Er Tong once again finds himself in a career crisis, while the others face new challenges of their own.
