Now That We're Reborn, Who'd Still Want to Be Empress?

When Yin Qingzhi was empress, she held power over the court, was renowned for her beauty, and lived a life of splendor, captivating men wherever she went.

Then one day, a scoundrel brought about her downfall, and she died in utter silence.

No one knew how she was trampled into the dirt, skinned, and dismembered. No one knew how her family was destroyed and how a forest of gravestones marked the dead. Branded a wicked empress, she was buried deep beneath the earth, her bones dissolving in the spring mud.

By chance, she was given an opportunity to be reborn as Mu Qingchen, an illegitimate daughter of the Mu family.

From then on, wearing a secret identity, she beats up scoundrels and strides through the halls of power, beyond anyone's reach.

She will make everyone who wronged or offended her lose sleep for good.

Once her revenge is complete and the truth revealed, she watches the officials of the court kneel before her and beg forgiveness. Even as she raises her blade, she doesn't hesitate for a moment.

Because revenge isn't about making the other person regret it. It's about finding peace within yourself.

She never expected one person to see through her disguise from the start, yet remain silently by her side, helping her in secret.

When everything is finally settled, he stands quietly beside her, just as he always has.
