Reborn as a Cannon-Fodder Heroine, the Mystic Sect Ancestor Stuns the World

The founder of a mystical sect fails to survive her tribulation and is reborn as Ye Bingling, a universally despised has-been actress who has just been exposed as a fake heiress.

To force her to terminate her contract, her company throws her into the global variety show The Psychic Showdown, a program everyone in the entertainment industry avoids, where she has to play a minor role.

She's handed a comedy script and made a stepping stone for every big name in the business.

Every other contestant is a big shot in the psychic world: a Western black witch, the strongest medium, a popular astrologer with tens of millions of followers, a living immortal...

When the microphone is held out for her introduction, she says, "Mystic Sect, Founding Ancestor."

The comments flood in with insults: "You should introduce yourself as a has-been for a thousand years, thanks."

But within days, every contestant is crowding around that "has-been for a thousand years," respectfully calling her "Founding Ancestor."

To pay off her contract penalty, Ye Bingling also takes on livestream fortune-telling, divination, feng shui consultations, and more...

The mother of a top-tier star comes to ask her about her son's love life: "Master, please tell me if my child has an ill-fated romance. He's been distracted and out of sorts every day."

Ye Bingling makes a quick calculation. He's encountered the tribulation of love written in his destiny.

And that tribulation is her!

Ye Bingling @Tang Chengyi: "Need help surviving a tribulation? One hundred thousand per tribulation, guaranteed success."

Tang Chengyi: "I'll survive the love tribulation. Once I do, I'll be yours."
