Military doctor Cui Ruoyi transmigrates into the body of another woman with the same name, who died in childbirth after being tormented by her wicked mother-in-law. She transmigrates right in the middle of a difficult labor and gives birth to twins. Having never wanted to marry or have children, she has no idea what to do. Then someone takes the babies away. Fortunately, she has a sweet little daughter and a personal space, so raising children is no worry. She raises the children, searches for her missing baby, and takes on her wicked mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Her husband, Li Dashan, is dragged back home in a living-dead state. Driven by a doctor's duty to heal and save lives, she treats him, but when he wakes up, Li Dashan remembers nothing. Cui Ruoyi notices something is amiss and helps him recover his memories, only to discover that this man is not her "husband" at all, but Jing Xian, a prince and general of the current dynasty.
From village girl to princess consort, Cui Ruoyi finds it all such a hassle. The squabbles back in the countryside were child's play. The real challenge is this sprawling mansion.
(The children belong to the female lead, not the male lead. The female lead is not a virgin, but the male lead is.)
The plot is average, a little wordy, the sentences are fairly fluent, and it doesn't have a strong sense of modernity. If you don't pursue a refreshing novel, you can watch it.
