Influenced by her family, surgeon Yao Yumeng becomes a doctor sent to Africa to provide medical aid. There, she unexpectedly discovers that her former instructor, Zhao Yinlei, is also in Africa on a peacekeeping mission. With help from Narman, a local doctor who studied in China, she overcomes numerous difficulties and quickly adapts to working and living in Africa.
Not long afterward, Ebola suddenly breaks out in the area, and Dr. Narman is tragically infected and dies. Yao Yumeng sinks into despair, but with Zhao Yinlei's help, she regains her faith.
Taking advantage of a terrorist attack, anti-government forces launch a rebellion. By a twist of fate, Yao Yumeng and Zhao Yinlei work seamlessly together to complete a mission to bring back agricultural experts, then board a military vessel evacuating Chinese citizens.
After all she has been through, Yao Yumeng sheds her youthful naivety and idealism. With ideals and convictions reforged amid the flames of war, she grows into a courageous, resolute, and highly skilled doctor.
Very inspirational, full of positive energy, worth watching.
