This book tells the story of a family in a northwestern desert village who seize the opportunities brought by the policies of reform and opening up to control the sand, overcome poverty, and build a better life. Goudan's family lives in a small village beside the Tengger Desert, where drought and water shortages are common. They take an active part in reservoir construction and water conservancy surveys, contributing to their water-starved hometown. They plant trees and forests, tame the desert, grow new varieties of watermelon and wheat, and develop specialty products from the desert. In the end, their own hard work changes their fate. Drawing on personal experience, the author depicts the tremendous changes that have transformed the villages of the northwestern desert over the forty years of reform and opening up, and celebrates this momentous era!

I always feel that the heroine is either stupid or lacking
It's a bit novel about a time travel story about gods and goddesses in the sky. The heroine's character is relatively straightforward. She talks about what she wants and has a mouth, so there is no misunderstanding. The male and female protagonists are very doting on each other. Later, King Yama of the underworld actually possesses the heroine's daughter, which is a bit unexpected.
I like this consistency. There is no misunderstanding, there is a mouth,
I really hate that kind of thing. I know that others have misunderstood, but I just don't want to explain, and then cause a series of troubles.
A very true story, quite touching and worth reading.
Good book. Simple writing style and sincere emotions. The most important thing is the material from real life. A book full of positive energy, an energy that can inspire blood, passion and warmth in the heart.
