From the Start: My Simp Roommate Is a Total Wretch

"Qiutian, I got dumped," Chu Qi said, his voice choked with tears. Whatever, it was embarrassing. He needed comfort right now.

Qiutian jumped, and his hand jerked. His phone almost hit the floor. He hadn't noticed anyone else in the dorm just now.

Once he recovered, Qiutian realized this was some pretty shocking gossip.

"Didn't you say you didn't have a girlfriend? How did you suddenly get dumped? Did some goddess start dating someone, or get married?" Qiutian asked in disbelief.

Chu Qi sat up and said pitifully, "I just confessed to Zhao He, and she turned me down. She even said I was getting ahead of myself."

Seeing Chu Qi weep bitterly, Qiutian felt sorry for himself.

"Do you believe in love?" Chu Qi was still unable to move on from yesterday's failed confession.

"Love? Well... all I can say is, if you believe in it, it exists; if you don't, it doesn't. I don't believe in it, but I won't argue with people who do. We just make different choices," Qiutian said with a serious expression.

"I didn't believe in it before. After meeting Zhao He, I did," Chu Qi said sadly.

Qiutian nodded to show that he understood and respected his feelings.

"But I still don't understand what love is." Chu Qi gazed at Qiutian, hoping he could clear things up for him.

Qiutian said awkwardly, "Don't look at me so hopefully. I don't understand it either."
