Songs Amid the Beacon Fires

Lin Chuan has trained in the border army since childhood. With his hair tied up and his spear in hand, he rides out of camp, determined to compete with the world's greatest talents. The times shape their heroes. After obtaining two divine artifacts, he looks upon the world once more and sees a contest between mighty powers. Just as the long standoff between the Cheng, Ning, and Jing kingdoms teeters on the brink of collapse, Lin Chuan enters the game board bearing divine artifacts. What kind of tide will he stir in this world? (Volume One hints at many aspects of the setting. If you're not interested, feel free to start with Volume Two.)
