Mandate of Heaven: I Just Became Emperor, and They’re Already Calling for My Abdication

In the final years of the Jin Dynasty, the northern tribes ravaged the realm, and barbarians plundered the Central Plains.

Aristocratic clans and sects held the imperial throne in their grip.

From then on, the land descended into chaos.

For tens of thousands of years afterward, the Central Plains entered an age of darkness.

Dynasties rose and fell; foreign tribes crossed the passes, and wars and upheaval raged without end.

By the time of the Great Abyss era, foreign peoples ruled.

The human realm was a living hell.

The people could barely survive.

Their lives were worth less than weeds.

No one knew if they'd live to see the next day.

The Great Xia Dynasty's founding emperor raised an army, overthrew the Great Abyss Dynasty, drove out the Tartars, subdued the northern barbarians, swept aside every rival across the land, reclaimed the Central Plains, and restored order.

But in his final years, the Crown Prince died, and the throne was passed to his eldest grandson.

After the founding emperor's death, the eldest grandson ascended the throne.

Chu Feng transmigrated into the Great Xia Dynasty, became its emperor, and awakened the Mandate of Heaven System.

Every choice brought a different Mandate of Heaven,

but he discovered that Prince Ning was using the slogan "uphold Heaven and punish the rebels" to purge the court in the emperor's name.

Faced with Prince Ning's rebellion and an army marching straight for the imperial city, Chu Feng had no choice if he wanted to secure the throne.

Looking out over the Great Xia realm, Chu Feng declared sharply, "I am the Mandate of Heaven!"
