I, a Wizard, and the Foolish Buddha

“I’m a novice wizard apprentice. My mentor keeps a pet that drives people completely insane, and I’m the ‘human medicine’ she prepared for it.”

Roland had only just transmigrated when he was faced with a daunting challenge: survive.

Today was his first day in this new world, and it might also be the last day of his life.

The only way to turn things around was to comprehend the Book of Ayele’s Folly before him and advance to a low-rank wizard apprentice.

“According to this book, all humans and animals are fragments of Ayele’s consciousness? So... am I actually a butterfly?”

Roland discovered that if he followed the book and went crazy, he could not only increase his magic power but also improve his proficiency in all kinds of skills. But its contents were deeply disturbing, and reading too much could turn him into a lunatic.

As a sane person, he was strongly opposed to the idea. Then he had a stroke of genius: explain the book’s logic to other people and make them go crazy instead.

“If the book says everyone is the same person, then if I make someone else go crazy, will I still improve?”

His terrifying female mentor pushed open the door.

Looking at the experimental subject who had just delivered herself to him, Roland fell into deep thought.

The Suffering Victims of Yellow Ferns, the Ballet Ghost, the Beautiful Snake Person, the Shepherd Tree... The world of wizards was incredibly bizarre and fascinating, but the path of a wizard was unimaginably arduous.

Roland forged his own path along the way, leaving everyone else in the dust.
