I Was a Bard, but I Changed Class to Deathcaller

For countless eons, the gods have dwelt in their divine realms, treating all living beings as game pieces and delighting in watching them fight. But have the gods ever considered that one day they, too, might become pieces on the board? During the age later known as the Twilight Era, fluctuations in the laws of the Prime Material Plane forced the gods, who were parasitic upon those laws, to leave their divine realms and descend into the Material World. Stripped of their immortality and the limitless power of their divine realms, they became prey instead. At the same time, the fluctuations shattered the planar barriers, and visitors from other worlds joined the hunt. In that chaotic age, old gods perished, while mortals climbed over their corpses to ascend to the divine throne. Cecil, once a legendary bard in his previous life, arrived in this chaotic land and began walking his legendary path once more.
